The Round Table on Responsible Soy (RTRS) released version 3.0 of its Soy Production Standard, described as the first multi-stakeholder zero-deforestation certification standard. Producers can certify that their operations have not converted native forests, wetlands or riverbanks.
Certification requirements may favour soy from verified producers in European supply chains, but the effect on soybean and meal prices is likely small.
