Pulse traders in India asked for removal of stock limits and an end to export bans on pulses, especially varieties trading below the minimum support price. They cite a bumper crop expected above 22 million tonnes.
Arhar is selling at about Rs 3,300-3,400 a quintal against an MSP of Rs 5,050.
If the export ban is lifted, Indian pulse supply could flow to world markets, but pulses are not among the tracked feed commodities. The story has little direct effect on the feed price complex.
