The ECB raised its 2017 eurozone growth forecast to 2.2%, the fastest since 2007, while keeping rates and its bond-buying programme unchanged. It cut its inflation forecasts for 2018 and 2019 below the 2% target, partly due to the euro's 13% gain against the dollar.
Stronger EU growth supports feed demand, but the euro-driven inflation drag delays stimulus withdrawal, keeping the euro firm and the dollar weaker, which supports dollar-denominated commodity prices.
