Brazil exported 197.5 thousand tons of rice in May, up 44.6% from April and far above May 2022. Imports rose 13% month on month to 127.8 thousand tons, while Cepea reported low liquidity in Rio Grande do Sul as producers held back supplies because prices did not cover production costs.
