U.S. ethanol exports in December 2017 reached 173.3 million gallons, the largest monthly volume in six years and second-highest on record. Full-year 2017 exports hit 1.37 billion gallons, up 17 percent from 2016, with Brazil the top buyer.
Strong ethanol export demand supports corn grind and corn demand, which is supportive for corn prices and feed grain costs.
