Kansas State University Extension reports 2012-15 trials comparing drought-tolerant corn hybrids with standard non-drought-tolerant counterparts. The results show DT hybrids perform better as water stress increases, and some Bt hybrids offer insurance against drought in dryland corn.
The research supports hybrid choice under drought risk but does not change current supply or prices. Its relevance to feed buyers is long-term crop resilience.
