Ukrainian seaports shipped 641 thousand tons of main grains between September 29 and October 5, 2018, up 25% year on year. Corn shipments rose to 106 thousand tons from 11 thousand, and wheat rose 21% to 440 thousand tons, while barley fell 31% to 96 thousand tons.
Stronger Black Sea port loadings add wheat and corn supply to export markets, a modest bearish factor for world wheat and corn prices, though cumulative seaport volumes for January-August were still down about 9.5%.
