The U.S. Grains Council reports that a Mexican feedlot trade team, after touring Kansas operations, returned home and increased its purchases of yellow corn and DDGS. Northeast Mexico feedlots import almost 60 percent of their corn and DDGS needs, about 30,000 metric tons shipped monthly from Kansas.
Steady Mexican feed-grain purchases add to U.S. corn and DDGS export demand. The effect on prices is modest.
