An Ohio State cattle letter invites producers to a NAHMS feedlot health survey running through April 7. It also reports USDA data showing US beef cow numbers grew about 1% in 2019 after a roughly 10% rise since 2014.
Continued beef herd expansion points to more beef supply over time, which is mildly bearish for cattle prices, though the survey itself has no direct price effect.
