The New York Fed reported to Congress that the Federal Reserve and U.S. Treasury did not intervene in foreign exchange markets in the first quarter of 2019. The dollar depreciated 0.4% on a trade-weighted basis over the quarter.
The report confirms no official currency intervention, so FX moves remain market-driven. It has little direct effect on feed commodity prices.
