At the NACS FUELS2019 conference, researcher Tristan Brown presented preliminary findings on biodiesel markets. He noted that biodiesel production has quadrupled since 2009 and that slightly more than half of feedstock comes from soybean oil, while distribution is constrained by trucking.
Growth in biodiesel output supports soybean oil demand, but the logistics gap between production and consumption limits how far that demand can expand. The remarks are a general outlook rather than a new price driver.
