The NFA Region 3 director said average retail and wholesale prices for commercial milled rice in Central Luzon are lower than in 2018. Palay farmgate prices, however, are below last year's levels, and farmers are demanding repeal of the Rice Tariffication Law, which sets tariffs of 35-50% on imported rice.
