US Midwest ULSD prices fell to their lowest October levels since 2016 as diesel demand dropped. Wet spring weather delayed planting and now delays the fall harvest by about a month, and average distillate supply over four weeks was down 7%.
Harvest delays and softer farm diesel demand are pushing regional fuel prices lower in the near term. Lower fuel costs help feed transport, although a late harvest could shift demand later.
