Richardson Milling will stop buying oats treated with pre-harvest glyphosate or any desiccant starting January 2021. The company says the policy follows consumer demand for oats not treated with pre-harvest desiccants.
Excluding treated oats from milling channels narrows the eligible supply for Western Canadian growers and may support premiums for untreated oats.
