A week-long strike by Chilean truckers, begun after attacks on truckers in Araucania, is blocking exports of salmon, fruit, meat and wine. At San Antonio port, about 290,000 tonnes of grain sat on eight ships waiting for trucks to unload them.
Chile is a small grain importer, so the impact on feed prices is limited; the disruption mainly shows port and transport bottlenecks that can slow feed logistics in the region.
