FranceAgriMer lowered its forecast for French common wheat end stocks for 2021/22 to 2.4 million tonnes from 2.9 million. It also cut its 2021 wheat production forecast to 35.2 million tonnes from 36.1 million, and left its non-EU export forecast at 9.6 million tonnes.
Lower French end stocks signal a tighter European wheat balance, which supports export prices and gives buyers less cushion against further crop cuts.
