Ukraine's Ministry of Agrarian Policy plans to sign a memorandum with grain market participants in October capping wheat exports at 25 million tons. The cap would also cover corn, and officials discussed a split between milling and feed wheat.
The ministry estimates about 24.4 million tons of grain could be exported.
A planned export cap on Ukrainian wheat and corn restricts supply from a major exporter and supports world prices. Feed buyers face tighter corn and wheat availability if the limit is enforced.
