East Coast (PADD 1) ultra low sulfur diesel inventories fell to 19.375 million barrels from 20.4 million a week earlier, among the lowest levels in five to eight years. Refinery runs and total distillate production rose to multi-year highs.
Tight East Coast diesel stocks keep trucking and feed delivery costs elevated, supporting diesel prices. Rising refinery output offers some relief if it sustains.
