USDA's October WASDE cut the corn production estimate by 49 million bushels to 13.895 billion and lowered corn yield to 171.9 bushels per acre. Soybean yield was lowered to 49.8 bushels per acre, and U.S. wheat ending stocks were put at 576 million bushels, a 15-year low.
Lower U.S. corn and soybean yields tighten domestic supply, while the wheat stocks decline supports prices. Analysts called the U.S. ending stocks mostly neutral for corn and wheat.
