The National Corn Growers Association is pressing the US Trade Representative to file a USMCA dispute over Mexico's decree ending imports of biotech corn by 2024. NCGA president Tom Haag argued in The Hill that the decree would halt US corn exports to Mexico suddenly.
A possible USMCA dispute could delay or reverse the import cutoff, but until resolved the threat to US corn export demand keeps prices under pressure.
