Doubts over legal compliance put Brazil’s soy exports to the EU at risk - Insights

A Trase and ICV report from October 2, 2023 finds that 16% of soy production in the Amazon and Cerrado in 2020, about 3 million hectares, was on farms that did not comply with Brazil's Forest Code. The report warns that gaps in official data may make it hard for traders to prove compliance with the EUDR.
