The EIA raised its Henry Hub spot price forecasts for 2023 to $2.67 per MMBtu and for 2024 to $3.25 per MMBtu in its November Short-Term Energy Outlook. It expects prices to average around $3.40 over the winter, peaking above $3.60 in January.
A higher official US gas price outlook signals firmer energy and fertilizer input costs into 2024, although the forecast still reflects ample supply.
