USDA's December report kept its 2023/24 world oats forecast nearly unchanged at 20.5 million mt, while total world cereal production was raised by 3.8 million mt. Spanish oat prices rose 0.11% month-on-month to USD 341.56/mt, and Kazakhstan reported 156 thousand mt of oat reserves.
A stable global oat forecast means no supply shock, so prices are likely to stay range-bound for feed buyers. Modest Spanish price gains reflect firmer European cereal sentiment rather than a new supply cause.
