Strategie Grains cut its forecast for the 2024/25 EU soft wheat crop by 1.7 million tonnes to 121.8 million tonnes, a four-year low. It also lowered its EU barley forecast to 52.2 million tonnes, with France expected to see the largest year-on-year decline.
A smaller EU wheat and barley crop reduces exportable supply and supports prices for feed-grade and milling wheat and barley.
