Wheat prices have traded sideways after falling sharply over the past month. The International Grains Council estimates 2025 world wheat output at 807 million tonnes, a record that is up eight million tonnes, led by an EU rebound.
Output in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan is expected to fall by 4.3 million tonnes, partly offsetting the EU gain.
A record global crop outlook and early Northern Hemisphere harvest pressure weigh on wheat prices, which lowers feed-grain costs for buyers. Dryness in the Black Sea region is the main upside risk.
