The World Bank reported that its natural gas price index fell in April and May after a two-year high in February. The US benchmark dropped 18% and 8% month-on-month in those months, and European and Asian LNG prices also eased.
The report confirms a multi-month decline in gas and LNG prices driven by eased supply disruptions and weaker Asian LNG demand, which keeps energy input costs for feed and fertilizer production lower.
