The IGC reported that average international rice prices fell 1% month on month in June on limited buying and strong export competition. The FAO Rice Price Index also fell 0.8% in June and was about 23% below June 2024.
Lower benchmark export prices and ample supply signal a soft global rice price backdrop, even with expectations of record consumption.
