A Chinese buyer signed a deal to import 30,000 tonnes of Argentine soymeal priced at $345 per tonne including freight, for September-October shipment. This is the third such Reuters-reported deal since June, and Argentina's soymeal is priced below domestic Chinese crushed meal after export taxes were cut to 24.5% from 31%.
Cheaper Argentine soymeal gains share in China's market, adding competitive pressure on US and Brazilian soymeal prices and supporting Chinese feed margins.
