Eight OPEC+ producers will raise output by 206,000 barrels per day in April, the first step in unwinding 1.65 million bpd of voluntary cuts. The group cited healthy fundamentals and low inventories, and said it may return more barrels depending on market conditions.
The gradual unwinding signals more supply later in the year, which is bearish for crude over time. Disruption in the Gulf still limits how quickly those barrels reach buyers.
