The first cargo of Ukrainian corn sailed from the Romanian port of Constanta, totaling 71,000 metric tons, after bypassing a Russian naval blockade that has largely halted Ukraine's grain exports. The port operator Comvex confirmed the shipment.
This shipment shows a small alternative export channel for Ukrainian corn, but volumes are too limited to offset the broader loss of Black Sea supply, so corn prices stay supported.
