The USDA's June 2024 Grain: World Markets and Trade report cut Russia's 2024/25 wheat crop forecast to 83.0 million tons, down 11% on adverse weather. Russian exports are forecast at 48.0 million tons, and Ukraine's 2024/25 exports are forecast at 13.0 million tons, the lowest in a decade.
Lower Black Sea wheat supplies tighten the global export balance, which supports wheat prices. Further crop downgrades would add to that pressure.
