Brazil's safrinha corn crop could rise about 30 million tonnes (50%) in 2021/22 after a failed prior season, on higher planted area and better yields. The outcome depends on rainfall over the next 60 days, and the safrinha crop provides about 75% of Brazil's corn output and most of its exports.
A record Brazilian crop would add substantial export supply while other major exporters are constrained, which is bearish for corn if rains hold.
