Dry weather is mounting for safrinha corn in central Brazil, including Mato Grosso, Goias and Minas Gerais, with some areas without rain for 25 to 50 days. Inmet indicates the rainy season has ended, and Aprosoja-MT says yield losses will grow without significant rain before late May.
Yield losses in Mato Grosso, the largest safrinha state, would tighten Brazilian corn export availability and support prices.
