Pioneer product manager Scott Walker said its AQUAmax drought-tolerant corn hybrids showed a 5.8 bushel advantage over competitors in 2021. He reported record yields above 300 bushels per acre in Nebraska, Kansas and Colorado, with more normal seasons in the eastern Corn Belt.
Company yield claims reflect genetic gains that support production efficiency, but they are not a supply shock and do not move prices on their own.
