Kansas State's 2022 crop performance trials for corn, sorghum, soybeans and sunflowers were hurt by drought across most of the state. Hail destroyed nearly all sunflower trials, and the western half of Kansas was hardest hit.
Garden City recorded its driest growing season in about 130 years.
