On June 13 the ICE August Brent contract jumped $5.93 to $75.29 a barrel in European morning trade, and NYMEX July crude rose $5.91 to $74.05. Israel struck Iranian nuclear facilities and military sites overnight, while US-Iran nuclear talks showed little progress.
The US denied involvement in the strikes.
