The EIA reported the US average on-highway diesel price rose 5.8 cents to $3.561/gal, the largest weekly gain since October. The Gulf Coast posted a 7.3-cent increase to $3.269/gal.
The national average remains 26.7 cents below a year earlier.
Retail diesel increases raise trucking and delivery costs for feed buyers, though prices remain well below last year's levels. Continued gains would pressure logistics margins.
