The Grain Farmers of Ontario February-March 2021 report says USDA cut 2020/21 US corn ending stocks by 50 million bushels to 1.502 billion, well below trade expectations, with corn usage raised. USDA also lowered old-crop soybean ending stocks by 20 million bushels to 120 million and raised exports to 2.250 billion bushels.
Tighter US old-crop corn and soybean stocks support nearby prices and reduce feed supply for buyers. The stocks-to-use ratio falling to 10.2% signals limited cushion.
