US dollar extends gain against yen after best month since 1995

The US dollar posted its best monthly gain against the yen in two decades, rising to 114.74 yen. The move followed higher Treasury yields, strong jobs and income data, and speculation about a December Fed rate hike.

Trump's Treasury secretary pick was also cited as supporting a strong-dollar outlook.
