Ukrainian sunflower oil exports reached a record 5.84 million tonnes in MY2016/17, well above the prior season's 4.5 million. Analysts estimate Ukraine's 2016 sunflower seed crop was 1.2-1.4 million tonnes above official figures, and soybean exports reached 514k tonnes from April to August.
