Ukroliyaprom reported that Ukraine's sunflower oil output in 2016/17 is set to reach a record 6.3 million tonnes, up 126% from the prior year. Exports grew 130%.
The association warned that any Ukrainian export restrictions on sunflower oil could destabilise domestic and export markets.
Record Ukrainian oil supply and exports add to global vegetable oil availability, which is bearish for sunflower oil prices. Any export curbs would reverse that effect.
