La Niña Watch issued by the Climate Prediction Center

The University of Florida AgroClimate project notes that NOAA issued a La Niña Watch on October 9, 2017, with about a 60% chance of development this fall. It describes typical La Niña effects on Florida and the Southeast, including warmer, drier winters and higher hurricane activity.
