Sterling slips after BOE policymaker says Brexit uncertainty could mean a rate cut

Bank of England policymaker Michael Saunders said the next move in Bank Rate could be a cut if Brexit uncertainty persists and the UK avoids a no-deal exit. Sterling slipped more than 0.4% against the dollar to around $1.228 on the comments.
