The IGC November report raised its 2019/20 world wheat and grain production, trade and consumption forecasts from October, though ending stocks remain below 2018/19. For 2020/21, wheat area is seen rising only about 1%, with Ukraine's area reported down sharply on dry weather.
Higher current-year output is bearish, but a shrinking Ukrainian and largely below-average northern hemisphere wheat area for 2020/21 offers some support to prices.
