The ECDC published its avian influenza overview covering 16 August to 15 November 2019. It recorded one low pathogenic H5 outbreak in poultry in France and no highly pathogenic outbreaks in European birds.
It also reported the first HPAI H5N6 detection in African chickens, in Nigeria.
Few poultry outbreaks in Europe during this period means little near-term supply loss for poultry meat or eggs, so the report is unlikely to move feed or poultry prices.
