CME update: lean hog futures strengthen due to expected sales to China

Lean hog futures rose on March 6 to their highest since February 26 after USDA reported China bought 4,475 tonnes of US pork in the week to February 27. Shipments to China reached 17,531 tonnes, and China was expected to cut retaliatory duties on US goods including pork.
