Mosaic won a countervailing duty case against phosphate imports from Morocco and Russia after an investigation that began in July. StoneX analyst Josh Linville says Mosaic now controls about 88% of the US market, and the duties could add strain to already high phosphate prices.
With imports restricted and US supply concentrated, phosphate fertilizer prices are likely to stay elevated, raising costs for US crop producers.
