Dollar index hits roughly one-year high a week after Fed policy update

The dollar index reached roughly a one-year high of 94.28 on Wednesday, about a week after the Federal Reserve's September 22 policy update. Traders attributed the move to expectations of earlier tapering of bond purchases and possible rate hikes in 2022.
