Importers must show where and when the commodities were produced and provide verifiable evidence that the land was not deforested after 2020.
Traceability requirements could restrict EU-bound soy and palm oil supplies that cannot be verified, shifting trade flows. That may soften EU import demand and prices for these oilseeds.
