USDA's Sept. 1 grain stocks report showed corn stocks at 1.361 billion bushels, below the trade estimate of 1.429 billion, while soybean stocks at 268 million bushels beat expectations of 242 million.
Wheat stocks of 1.780 billion bushels were slightly above the 1.772 billion expected, and markets fell after the release.
Tighter-than-expected corn stocks support feed grain prices, while larger soybean stocks and wheat supplies weigh on soybeans, soymeal and wheat values.
